Gatlinburg presents the 2nd Annual Smoky Mountains Tales & Tunes Festival, evenings of entertainment surprises during your traditional summertime Parkway stroll experience in Gatlinburg. Watch performers step from a horse-drawn carriage to entertain you with their stories and musical skill at 6 p.m. each evening. June 13 - August 31, 2008. The Annual Celebrate Freedom! Festival honors American veterans and current military personnel with special discounts and vacation savings at participating area businesses the entire month of August! August, 2008. Now is the time to plan a getaway weekend to do all your "Back to School" shopping as Belz Factory Outlet, Tanger Outlet Malls, and the Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet feature sidewalk sales and great back-to-school shopping events! |

Smoky Mountain Winterfest has become one of the most popular events in the south, and for good reason! Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville each honor the coming of winter with fantastic kick-off events featuring entertainment, great food and twinkling lights. The fun continues through February with trolley light tours, special holiday theater performances, and spectacular sales events at all area outlet malls. November, 2007 - February, 2009. Dollywood's winter wonderland of more than 3.5 million holiday lights sets the stage for the Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival from November 8, 2008 through January 3, 2009. Make this a Christmas to remember and vacation during one of the Smokies "warmest" seasons. |

Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge features a series of outdoor themed activities to help you connect with the outdoor world of the Great Smoky Mountains. Nearly 100 experts on nature and the great outdoors will host walks, hikes, seminars and lectures on a wide variety of topics, including Smoky Mountain history and plant and animal life. A number of Wilderness Wildlife Week programs are also designed for children. Mid January, 2009. |

The Annual Smoky Mountains Storytelling Festival brings talented storytellers together in concerts and workshops, and features the "Haunts 'n' Haints" Trolley Tales and the National Youth Storytelling Showcase. Early February, 2009. This Annual Saddle Up! Celebration in Pigeon Forge features three days of "West meets Southeast" with cowboy poetry, Western music, dances and songwriter workshops. This is currently the fastest growing celebration in Pigeon Forge and not to be missed! Late February, 2009. |

April marches into Pigeon Forge with the Annual Dolly Parade and Dollywood's Annual Festival of Nations! with more than 250 international performers at this multicultural spring festival featuring musicians, dancers and artisans bringing a world of entertainment to the Great Smoky Mountains. Parade: Early April, 2009. Festival: Late March - Early May, 2009. Ride the trolley from our front door to the Gatlinburg Ribfest & Wings annual event at Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. Enjoy free entertainment and the area's best BBQ ribs and wings! Mid April, 2009. The Annual Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is a seven-day event in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park consisting of a variety of wildflower, fauna, and natural history walks, motorcades, photographic tours, art classes, and indoor seminars.
